There are a couple of different transfer options between Bordeaux Airport and cities within the Bordeaux-Merignac area. You can take a taxi or a shuttle bus straight from the airport, while there is also a train station situated nearby if you plan on travelling farther afield.
The BOD terminals are located just off the ring road that loops around the city, making access to the airport easy and trouble-free.
Trains
Bordeaux is a major rail hub for the south-west of France. Gare St. Jean is only three kilometres from the city centre and it receives 16 trains a day from Paris. There are also arrivals from Biarritz, Bayonne, Nantes, Poitiers, La Rochelle and Toulouse. Travellers wishing to reach the station should take a taxi or a shuttle bus from the airport to Gare St-Jean.
Shuttle Buses
JetBus provides shuttle services from the airport to the city centre and Gare St. Jean railway station, with services departing every 45 minutes from 07:45 to 22:45.
Hotel Shuttles
Many of the main accommodation providers in the surrounding area can arrange courtesy customer pick-ups and drop-offs at Bordeaux airport. It's best if you arrange these services with your hotel prior to your arrival at the airport for maximum convenience.
Taxi Cabs
Taxis are available at thr airport from just outside the terminals and can be taken into Bordeaux and the surrounding area 24 hours a day.
