About Bordeaux Tourism
Bordeaux is famous for its wine and thousands of tourists flock here, not only to get a sampling of the special vintages, but also to enjoy the charm of the city. Following the turn of the new millennium, Bordeaux has undergone quite a transformation, with many of its most important buildings being restored, and wide boulevards converted into pedestrianised areas.
Located in south-west France and in the Aquitaine province, the region's capital city has a rich history that is immediately evident to those arriving at Bordeaux Airport (BOD), with a myriad of interesting historical attractions, such as castles and museums. There is also much culture to enjoy in the form of art galleries and music venues.
